Dashcam footage shows the heart-stopping moment a two-and-a-half-year-old girl wandered along the Salisbury Freeway.
The approaching vehicle slams into the breaks before a distraught adult runs into the road and scoops the girl up in his arms.
The girl’s father told 9News he was outside washing his car when the young Pimchan jumped into the road.
He said he was extremely grateful for the quick actions of the two drivers on the road.
“I turn around, I see her on (the) road, she was running really fast,” he said.
“Someone help, so I’m happy, thank you very much.”
The family said they have lived in the apartment block for about two years and other young children live in the complex.
Fortunately, there have been no other near misses before.
