ex Sunrise host Samantha Armitage and her husband Richard Lavender separated after four years of marriage.
The Daily Telegraph reports the couple split a few months ago and Armytage has since moved out of Lavender’s property in the NSW Southern Highlands and returned to Sydney.
“Yes, Richard and I broke up. All breakups are difficult, but they’re somewhat mitigated by the fact that they’re amicable and we want the best for each other,” Armytage told the publication.

“I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I will make no further comments.”
The couple began dating in April 2019 before tying the knot in an intimate New Year’s Eve ceremony at the famous horse breeder’s 40-hectare property in 2020.
She announced their engagement in June of that year, revealing that “Rich” had done it asked the question.
“We were weeding in the paddock and he said ‘honey, do you want to marry me?'” she told Sunrise at the time.
“It was very sweet, very romantic. He is just a very decent, wonderful person.
“He is the complete opposite of the world of show business and television.”
In August, Armytage announced he was leaving the Seven Network after 21 years.
“21 is coming of age,” she began Instagram post“So, after all these years, I leave Channel 7 with very happy memories, a full heart and huge thanks to the many fantastic colleagues along the journey.
“There are too many highlights to list ~ I hosted almost every show on the network (Farmer’s Sunrise to Dusk) ~ and covered many of the major news stories of the past two decades.
“I started at 7 years old as a fresh-faced 26-year-old journalist and I’m leaving as a … um … a more mature-faced woman – who has worked hard, had the MOST amazing experiences, and had a lot of fun too. “
“I hope I’ve brought some information and sparkle into your living rooms so far to EVERYONE watching, thank you for tuning in for so many years. This is not the end, just the end of this chapter.”
